clearXchange is now SecureExchange

clearXchange has changed its name to SecureExchange, and we’re excited to share our new logo, website and improved user experience with you! We made this change to better communicate the value we provide to our users – a secure, extensive network, and an easy way to send and receive money directly from one bank account to another.

Although we've updated our name and look, your current service will not be impacted, and you do not need to do anything differently to continue to receive payments. We look forward to continuing to offer the digital payment services you rely on us for, and in the meantime, we hope you like what you see!

What is SecureExchange?
SecureExchange is a digital payments network that allows people and businesses to easily and securely send money to anyone or receive money from anyone with a U.S. bank account. An email address or mobile phone number is all it takes to transfer funds. It’s that simple!

The network is used by the nation’s top banks, and leverages existing bank accounts to transfer money directly. This means there’s no need to set-up or fund a separate account, and network users benefit from bank-level security and privacy. In plain English: we talk to your bank so they transfer your money with flawless efficiency. The network is accessible within network bank websites and apps, and available to anyone with a U.S. bank account through SecureExchange.com.
Why do I have to register?
We need you to link your email or mobile number to your bank account; that way, you never have to share sensitive bank details again to receive money. We use that email or mobile phone number to direct any payments you receive into your bank account. You’ll also receive an instant payment notification every time someone sends you money.
What are the requirements for registration?
To set up a SecureExchange profile on SecureExchange.com, you will need to have a U.S. address (U.S. territories included), a checking or savings account with any U.S. bank (that is not already a member of the SecureExchange network), and be at least 18 years of age. You must be authorized to use the bank account you register, and your financial institution must permit electronic funds transfers to and from the account.

See if your bank is listed among our network banks.

* Foreign bank accounts, and other types of payment accounts (such as prepaid cards, credit cards, etc.) are not eligible.
What happens if I don’t register?
You will not be able to receive or send money through the SecureExchange network. If you have already been notified about a pending payment, then that payment will expire and no funds will be transferred.
Is my bank part of the SecureExchange network?
SecureExchange network banks reach over 250 million people, so it’s likely your bank has already joined the network. If your bank is a network bank, you can use your current online or mobile banking service to send and receive payments.

Send Money

Can money be sent via SecureExchange.com?
Yes! You can send money to recipients if their bank is eligible to receive money from SecureExchange.com.
How do I know if someone is an “eligible” recipient to send money to?
Just enter the recipient’s information in your SecureExchange.com profile and select ‘Add’. If the recipient is not eligible, we’ll let you know.
Why do I need to verify my bank account with trial deposits? And how does that work?
It’s a one-time security measure to ensure that you have access to that bank account.

Generally, trial deposits will be sent by SecureExchange and posted to your bank account within 2 business days. They will appear as two small deposits of less than $1.00. Look for trial deposits in the account activity of the bank account registered in your SecureExchange profile.

You must verify the trial deposits within 14 calendar days from the day we send them to your bank account. If you don’t, the process expires and you will have to start the account verification process again by initiating new trial deposits. Once you have verified your bank account with trial deposits, you can begin using SecureExchange.com to send payments or respond to payment requests (in addition to receiving payments).
When will my recipient get the payment I sent?
Your recipient will generally receive the funds within five business days. Recipients can check with their bank to confirm receipt of the payment. If after that time the recipient still has not received it, please contact SecureExchange Customer Support.
Can I cancel a payment?
No, unfortunately once a payment is initiated, you cannot cancel the payment.

Receive Money

Does SecureExchange charge me a fee for receiving payment?
Nope.
When will payments show up in my bank account?
Usually within three business days after you set up your SecureExchange profile. Check with Customer Support if you haven’t received your payment within three business days after registering.
I need my money faster, what can I do?
Unfortunately we can’t speed up payments. However after you set up your SecureExchange profile, you typically receive the money within 1-2 business days.
